Title : Dry
Author: Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman
Publishing house: Simon & Schuster
Number of pages: 390 pages
Publication year: 2018
Genres : Dystopian and action

Summary : When the city of California runs completely out of water, Alyssa’s life turns upside-down. Neighbors turn against each other as survival is the only thing that matters. Alyssa must trust whoever she sees fit to keep her and her brother alive.
Audience : The ideal audience would be people that are mature enough to understand some very hard subjects like the saying “kill or get killed” and the fragility of life. Because this book is dystopian, the ideas raised are hypothetical, but also real problems that relate to our world, such as water shortage and the damages caused by it. You would also need to refrain from judging others and instead, try to empathize with the character’s point of view. Readers that like dystopian worlds and action would also like this book since these are the main genres of the book.
